What are Soap Nuts:
Soap nuts are the harvested fruit from the Reetha tree. The fruit is harvested and left to dry naturally leaving the fruit to harden, forming a shell which resembles a nut. The trees can grow up to 15 metres and have been used for hundreds of years as a washing detergent in India and Nepal. The soap nut shells contain Saponins - a natural surfactant which acts similar to soap by forming a soapy texture when in contact with water.
Pack contents - Bag soap nuts 1kg (400 washes), 500g (200 washes) or 250g (100 washes), 1Kg and 500g bag contains 2 reusable wash bags; 250g bag contains 1 reusable wash bag.
New In: We now have a new range of Soap Nut Powder to complement the soap nut shells.
